2. Mental Model: Semantic Continuity
The most important design principle:

Important:
Do not reprice accepted quote during conversion unless the business has an explicit, customer-visible policy for repricing.
Silent repricing is a trust, legal, and revenue operations risk.
8. Conversion Pipeline
A robust pipeline looks like this.
8.1 Conversion Lock
The lock prevents two actors/processes from converting the same quote simultaneously.
Options:

12. Price Snapshot in Order
The order should carry a price snapshot for commercial traceability.

Why snapshot?
Because catalog/configuration rules change.
A future catalog may no longer allow the same combination, but the order must still be interpretable as historical commitment.
14. Party, Account, and Address Mapping
Quote often captures customer context for sales.
Order needs operational role context.
